Executive Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, building deep relationships with both technical leads and C-suite stakeholders.
• Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities for account expansion (upsell/cross-sell) by understanding the customer’s roadmap and aligning it with AWS services and Midlink’s professional services.
• AWS Optimization: Collaborate with customers to monitor AWS usage, providing insights on cost optimization (FinOps), performance efficiency, and security best practices.
• Retention & Renewals: Proactively manage the renewal cycle, identifying churn risks early and executing “save” plans to ensure long-term partnership.
• Onboarding & Adoption: Lead the post-sales transition, ensuring customers are successfully onboarded and are adopting the AWS features relevant to their business needs.
• Advocacy: Act as the “Voice of the Customer” internally, providing feedback to our technical and product teams to improve Midlink’s service offerings.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Customer-Facing Excellence: Minimum of 2 years in a Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales Engineering role within the SaaS or Cloud industry.
• AWS Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). While you don’t need to be a Solutions Architect, you must be able to speak confidently about cloud value propositions.
• Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical AWS jargon into business outcomes (ROI, Time-to-Market, TCO).
• Problem Solver: A “get it done” attitude with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to solve customer hurdles.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification is a significant plus.

This role is for a “hunter” who is passionate about cloud innovation and translating its value into new customer success stories and revenue.

What You Will Do

• Pioneer New Business: Identify, prospect, and secure new client accounts by leveraging innovative and emerging AWS services (e.g., Generative AI, IoT, Serverless, High Performance Computing, Advanced Data Analytics and more).
• Drive Innovation Adoption: Become the expert on MidLink Cloud’s services for existing and new customers. Proactively introduce, pitch, and generate business value to prospective and existing clients.
• Value-Driven Selling: Professionally articulate the ROI and business value of advanced AWS deployments, moving beyond basic infrastructure discussions to C-level strategic conversations.

• Accurate Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Maintain a disciplined and accurate sales pipeline, forecasting quarterly sales results, managing deal progression, and articulating risks and opportunities.
• High-Level Stakeholder Engagement: Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers to influence strategic cloud investment and roadmaps.
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Solution Architecture and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and that the transition from sale to successful delivery is seamless.

Requirements

• Proven New Business Acumen: Demonstrable track record of successfully hunting, closing, and exceeding sales targets in a competitive B2B environment, preferably focused on cloud services.
• Expert AWS Knowledge: Deep understanding of the AWS platform and key emerging services. The ability to speak confidently and strategically about multiple AWS service layers, starting from Foundational infrastructure services, and all the way to the most advanced ones.
• Sales Influence & Presence: Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence executive and C-level stakeholders on the business impact of Cloud technology adoption.
• Strategic Experience: Proven 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development role focused on driving new revenue from AWS or similar hyperscale cloud technologies.
• Results-Oriented: Exceptional ability to manage a complex sales cycle, meet demanding sales quotas, and maintain a high level of performance with attention to detail.
• Communication & Negotiation: Excellent negotiation skills, combined with superior verbal and written communication abilities.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be a vital contributor to our client engagements, working with Senior Architects to design and implement robust, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge cloud technologies. A key part of this role involves leading the technical presales process and proving the viability of innovative solutions through hands-on PoCs. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where continuous learning and collaboration are key.

Key Responsibilities

• Presales Technical Leadership: Lead the technical aspect of presale meetings and discussions with prospective clients. Conduct technical discovery sessions to deeply understand business needs, current architecture, and constraints.
• PoC Ownership & Innovation: Own and execute technical Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) for new or complex client solutions, demonstrating technical feasibility and value on the AWS platform.
• Design & Implementation: Participate in the design and hands-on implementation of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless) on AWS, ensuring solutions meet high standards for performance, resilience, and security.
• Customer Engagement: Work closely with customer development and operations teams to understand technical needs, translate them into clear cloud blueprints, and serve as a technical resource during project execution.
• Automation & IaC: Develop, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS environments.
• Optimization Support: Assist in implementing FinOps strategies and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within client environments.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, design specifications, and procedural runbooks for implemented solutions, including proposals generated during the presales phase.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices, helping clients achieve faster, more reliable deployments using relevant AWS services. 

Prerequisites (What We’re Looking For)

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a hands-on technical role such as a Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
• Consultative Skills: Prior experience or proven ability to interact directly with clients/stakeholders, gather requirements, and present technical solutions effectively.
• PoC Experience: Experience leading or significantly contributing to technical Proof-of-Concepts or pilot projects.
• Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of core cloud computing concepts, AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda), and networking fundamentals.
• Practical experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes.
• Containerization: Foundational understanding and practical experience with Docker and basic knowledge of Kubernetes/Amazon EKS.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew & English, with the ability to clearly articulate technical ideas to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Design, implement and manage our cloud-based infrastructure and services using Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and others.
• Develop, design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Github Actions and ArgoCD.
