Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts, building deep relationships with both technical leads and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strategic Growth: Identify opportunities for account expansion (upsell/cross-sell) by understanding the customer’s roadmap and aligning it with AWS services and Midlink’s professional services.
  • AWS Optimization: Collaborate with customers to monitor AWS usage, providing insights on cost optimization (FinOps), performance efficiency, and security best practices.
  • Retention & Renewals: Proactively manage the renewal cycle, identifying churn risks early and executing “save” plans to ensure long-term partnership.
  • Onboarding & Adoption: Lead the post-sales transition, ensuring customers are successfully onboarded and are adopting the AWS features relevant to their business needs.
  • Advocacy: Act as the “Voice of the Customer” internally, providing feedback to our technical and product teams to improve Midlink’s service offerings.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Customer-Facing Excellence: Minimum of 2 years in a Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales Engineering role within the SaaS or Cloud industry.
  • AWS Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.). While you don’t need to be a Solutions Architect, you must be able to speak confidently about cloud value propositions.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate technical AWS jargon into business outcomes (ROI, Time-to-Market, TCO).
  • Problem Solver: A “get it done” attitude with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to solve customer hurdles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certification: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification is a significant plus.

Requirements

  • Proven New Business Acumen: Demonstrable track record of successfully hunting, closing, and exceeding sales targets in a competitive B2B environment, preferably focused on cloud services.
  • Expert AWS Knowledge: Deep understanding of the AWS platform and key emerging services. The ability to speak confidently and strategically about multiple AWS service layers, starting from Foundational infrastructure services, and all the way to the most advanced ones.
  • Sales Influence & Presence: Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence executive and C-level stakeholders on the business impact of Cloud technology adoption.

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be a vital contributor to our client engagements, working with Senior Architects to design and implement robust, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS. You will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge cloud technologies. A key part of this role involves leading the technical presales process and proving the viability of innovative solutions through hands-on PoCs. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where continuous learning and collaboration are key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Presales Technical Leadership: Lead the technical aspect of presale meetings and discussions with prospective clients. Conduct technical discovery sessions to deeply understand business needs, current architecture, and constraints.
  • PoC Ownership & Innovation: Own and execute technical Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) for new or complex client solutions, demonstrating technical feasibility and value on the AWS platform.
  • Design & Implementation: Participate in the design and hands-on implementation of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, Serverless) on AWS, ensuring solutions meet high standards for performance, resilience, and security.
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with customer development and operations teams to understand technical needs, translate them into clear cloud blueprints, and serve as a technical resource during project execution.

  • PoC Experience: Experience leading or significantly contributing to technical Proof-of-Concepts or pilot projects.
